How to Measure
Ensure that the recess is 70mm deep and your blind is going into it is not obstructed in any way so the blind can hang freely when fully extended. Look out for protruding window handles and tiles.
Measure the width from A to B and the drop from C to D (see diagram 1).
We recommend you do this in three places (top of window, middle of window and bottom of window) to allow for any slight size variation and make a note of the shortest measurements to the nearest millimetre.
We recommend you do this in three places (right side of window down, middle of window down and bottom of window down) to allow for any slight size variation and make a note of the longest measurements to the nearest millimetre.
We will make your blind to fit into the recess perfectly. All we need is for you to confirm that the measurements given are exact measurements and we will do the necessary adjustments.
FACE FIX FITTING:
We do this often if burglar bars or handles protrude into the reveal, so the option is to install on the outside of the window.
We advise to add at least 50mm -100mm each side in most instances.
Carefully measure the width from E to F (see the diagram to your right) and the drop from G to H and note down the smallest measurements to the nearest millimetre.
Remember on roller blinds the fabric will be approximately 3.5cm less than the overall width so you must allow for this. We will make your blind to your exact sizes.
If you are measuring an existing blind that’s fine but don’t get caught out with roller blinds. On a roller blind the fabric is always approximately 35mm less than the “true” blind size (the blind size being bracket to bracket). Please don’t just measure the fabric on a roller blind, you will end up with a blind too narrow!
